Craig Williams

Innovative. Steadfast. Professional. These are the words that best describe entrepreneur Craig Williams.

Equipped with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Syracuse University, and 20 years of personal experience in the industry, CEO, Craig Williams, established Pride Enterprises Inc, as a small construction company in 1996. Emerging from a familial unit of thriving entrepreneurs, Williams began his uphill journey working as a laborer in the family business. He got his start by working for his uncle during summers off from Syracuse, and later moved on to help cultivate a new family business when his father made the acute decision to leave Corporate America and develop his own construction empire.

While working at R.I. Williams and Associates, Craig was a capacious contributor to the firm. His strong determination and palpable leadership abilities allowed him to quickly ascend to the role of superintendant, which left him in charge of field management of specific projects. Aspiring to learn all aspects of the business, Williams was focused and moved from the field to the office, earning positions as Estimating Coordinator, Project Manager, and Operations Manager. As the estimating coordinator, Williams not only learned how to accurately estimate projects, but also the valuable skills necessary for participation in bidding activity. It was during this time that Williams’ extraordinary talents truly emerged as he constantly helped to win contract after contract for the firm. As Operations manager, he was in charge of all field and office activities. The countless experiences in each position along with the mentorship of his father, ultimately led him to become Vice President of R.I. Williams and Associates.

As Vice President, Williams observed the inaccessibility of certain projects, consequently noticing a void within the industry, which prompted him to ramp PEI up from a way to make ends meet, into a full-fledged construction firm aimed at the HUBzone niche of the federal marketplace. After obtaining the U.S. Small Business Administration’s HUBZone certification and later acceptance into the 8(a) program, Pride Enterprises was born to access the niche. These opportune programs paired with Williams’ stamina for success, hastily increased PEI’s client list. The rapid growth and progress of the burgeoning business caused him to resign as VP of R.I. Williams and Associates to intently focus on the cultivation of PEI.

With a proven track record of emphasizing customer satisfaction at all levels of the construction process from conception through completion, PEI was able to develop an impressive list of clients including: the US Departments of the Interior, Defense and Veteran Affairs, United States Army, Navy and National Guard, and the General Service Administration.

Just 10 years, after its inception, Williams was able to turn his small business from a side venture into a multi-million dollar empire. Today, the accomplished firm handles all aspects of Construction Management, Consulting, and Building. PEI lucratively holds 21 active projects with a total contract value of over 20 million dollars. With a capacity of $15 million in single job bonding, $30 million in comprehensive bonding, and a catalog of completed federal and military contracts, PEI has established itself as a leading firm in its class.

After obtaining a significant amount of success, Williams did not forget his beginning working under his father’s tutelage. Aspiring to be a positive mentor for others, Williams joined the committee of YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School, which provides high school dropouts the opportunity to earn a diploma and attain vital job skills. Joining YouthBuild evoked Williams to realize his devotion to giving back to the community and mentor others with passions that paralleled his own.

Pride Enterprises Inc. consistently exceeds the expectations of clients by unrelentingly delivering excellence. Craig Williams prides his company on being operations driven, and ensuring unparalleled services and expertise, always providing projects of the highest quality, best value, and safe delivery. With a strong commitment to excellence, Craig Williams leads an upwardly mobile empire poised for continual success for decades to come.
